DAVINA PARDO has produced and directed four short documentaries.
Yesterday in Rwanda, her most recent film, premiered at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival
and aired on CBC in Spring 2006. Yesterday in Rwanda was recently awarded a Jury's Citation prize by
the Black Maria Film Festival and named Best Social Issue Film by the International Student Documentary
Competition at Columbia College in Chicago.
Pardo also produced, directed and edited a personal documentary, Birdlings Two, which screened at the 2004 Toronto International Film Festival, Slamdance Film Festival,
Tribeca Film Festival, and SILVERDOCS, and others, and is in distribution through the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre.
A native of Canada, Pardo now lives and works in New York City, where she is an associate producer and cinematographer. Previously, she worked as David Cronenberg's assistant in Toronto.
Pardo received a BA from Amherst College and an MA in Documentary Film Production from Stanford University.
